It’s May and it’s been over 100 degrees here in Central California for the last several days. It seemed safe to finally wash and retire my scarves, mittens, sweaters and hang the coats in the back closet. I even took the Christmas lights down. They’ve lost their cheer. Besides I need the outlets–fans and AC. Zephyr, of course–of course!–is afraid of the AC. So he’ll take the hottest room over the coolest. Damn dog.
My refrigerator began clacking and wheezing several days ago and is now at a mild but barely “cool” even cranked to arctic zero. So, with great, and uncommon, generosity, my landlord let me buy a brand new one yesterday. So as I write this I am awaiting delivery of a shiny new white refrigerator. 😉
I can’t wait to make ice cubes, a large jar of mint tea, stock up on grapefruit sodas, Perrier, pop cycles, ice cream, frozen peas. It all sounds good.
Stay cool, d.
