It’s November 4th and the polls here in California close in 3 hours. You can feel the anticipation in the air. I am feeling like we are about to make history. . . it’s thrilling and frightening. I’m already worried for the safety of Obama and his family–such the fatalist, as if something wonderful and grand couldn’t possibly be real, or last. Still, I feel like he’s going to take the nomination in a landslide and tomorrow will be one of the most amazing mornings in history. 🙂
Meanwhile, I’ve contracted a cold, so I’m all fuzzy and loopy. I cleaned out the pharmacy of Cold-Eez, Zicam, Airborne, etc. I figured all of them are bound to do SOMETHING good. I always know just in advance when I’m getting sick. It’s the only time I ever don’t want coffee and I start craving won ton soup. My favorite Edokkos soup kitchen has disappeared for the 2nd time in the last 10 years. Maybe they’ll come back, maybe they won’t. They’re ghostly that way but their udon bowls could revive the dead. I had to settle for Manhattan clam chowder at the cafe, which is actually a decent 2nd place. A squeeze of fresh lemon and a side of sourdough bread, slightly soothed what is ailing me.
Everything else: I’ve been neglecting my blog, my Etsy duties. Bad me, but I’ve been busy working my new job, which I like. Now it’s just a matter of balancing both. So, this was a check in. An “I’m still alive and blogging” post. Hope you are al well and out voting!
Tomorrow could be a dose of won ton soup for the country. 😉 Amen.
